Training

NorthWest HazMat, Inc. has been approved by the Oregon DEQ to provide Asbestos Worker Training.

The initial course includes 4 days of training concluding with the final test and issuance of the State workers card. This class has been designed with emphasis on good work practices including the proper use of protective equipment, containment, and worker safety.

We are committed to providing the best training possible. We have installed training mock ups of different tasks an abatement worker could encounter from glove bags to containment, and from ceiling to floor scrapes. Each worker will be fit tested and perform this hands on training in PPE they will use in the field.

Cost for the initial worker is $450.00, which includes a $45.00 (Non Refundable) DEQ fee.

Services

NorthWest HazMat, Inc. can provide sampling services for "Bulk" samples of material that may contain asbestos, (ACM). Fees range due to turn around time.

We also offer a home asbestos sample kit. This kit comes complete with all of the items required for the home-owner to get a sample of the material that needs testing. Simply place your sample into the mailer by following the enclosed instructions, and ship to NorthWest HazMat, Inc. for analysis.
